      Curtain wall is an outer covering of a building in which the outer walls are non-structural, but merely keep out the weather. As the curtain wall is non-structural it can be made of a lightweight material reducing construction costs. When glass is used as the curtain wall, a great advantage is that natural light can penetrate deeper within the building.
  
 Nowadays, there are mainly three kinds of glasses used for construction projects. They are Tempered Glass,Insulated Glass,Laminated Glass or the combination of the three kinds of glassess.
 
This kind of glass is made by heating flat glass to approach its softening temperature

1.)Tempered glass for curtain wall construction projects
and suddenly chilling it with jets of cold air, which produces highly desirable conditions of induced stress which result in additional strength, resistance to thermal stress, and impact resistance.

Insulated glass is made of two or more than two pieces of glass between which a space with certain width is partitioned by aluminum frame filled with highly efficient molecular absorbent. The edge of insulating glass is sealed by high strength sealing sealants

Insulating glass is ideal sound insulating material. Normal IGU can reduce noise by 30 decibel, IGU filled with inert gas can further reduce 5 decibel.

Low-e glass can reflect most of the heat back .so , the temperature of the house will be quite stable.

because it is  no transmitter  between two glasses .the middle of the two glass 's  air is stable.So .the two glass won't  foging. 


 
3.)Laminated Glass for curtain wall 
Laminated glass, is a kind of security compound glass made by sealing two or more pieces of glass together with PVB film through the process of heating and pressurization. The shape of the glass can be flat or curved.The laminated glass has 2 layers,3 layers,5 layers, 7 layers, or more.
 
 Function and Characteristic:
1.  Good safety function, because of  the agglutinated function of the PVB film, when the glass is broken, only bring into radiation-like crackle, the fragment will not scatter out. It is safe and can not hurt people. So, it is widely used in the windshield glass for automobiles.
2.  High anti-impact intensity. When it is  striked, the glass is not easily broken. Its anti-impact intensity is much better than common glass. 
3.  Unique anti-theft function. The glass is not easily broken and enters, so it is very safe.
